Hi - my name is Nechirvan Zebari, but you can call me Nech (pronounced like “beach”). I was born in Iraqi Kurdistan and moved to the United States when I was five years old. I was inspired to open Alida’s Bakery because my family never had a fresh & reliable source of Middle Eastern breads like Iraqi samoon pita.
Until now.
In 2016, I became interested in baking, and learned how to bake from my brother and his wife (the bakery, Alida’s, is named after them). As one of few Middle Eastern bakeries in the region, I strive to earn your trust and make our bread super fresh, memorable, authentic and delicious, every single day.
In addition to being the owner and head baker, I’m also a father, husband, registered nurse and soccer player. I encourage you to reach out to me directly if you ever have questions about our products or process: (206) 265-0841.
- Nechirvan Zebari
